Mohamed & Maram’s Elegant Wedding at Villa di Maiano

A Fashion-Inspired Celebration Between Florence & the Tuscan Hills

Some weddings feel effortlessly beautiful because every detail carries intention.

Mohamed & Maram’s destination wedding in Tuscany was exactly that  refined, emotional and deeply personal, with an aesthetic language shaped by fashion, Italian artistry and meaningful design choices.

Originally from Egypt, the couple chose Tuscany for its timeless atmosphere and romantic architecture, envisioning a wedding that felt elegant yet contemporary, intimate yet visually striking.

For Maram, a fashion designer with an extraordinary eye for detail, every visual element mattered. Together with Arianna Bassi, founder of Biancospino Flowers and wedding designer, the creative process evolved into a fully bespoke wedding concept where flowers, textures, colors and scenography came together seamlessly.

The celebrations unfolded across two iconic Florentine venues: an intimate welcome dinner at Villa Cora followed by the wedding day at the breathtaking Villa di Maiano.

The result was a wedding suspended between fashion editorial aesthetics and timeless Italian elegance.

A Fashion-Led Creative Vision

At Biancospino Flowers, every project begins with a creative dialogue.

For Mohamed & Maram, the design process was deeply collaborative and centered around creating an atmosphere that felt sophisticated, layered and emotionally resonant.

Because Maram comes from the fashion world, the aesthetic direction naturally focused on silhouette, texture, balance and composition  approaching the wedding almost like the creation of a couture collection.

Every detail was intentionally designed to feel personal and visually harmonious.

From custom décor pieces to the floral palette itself, the wedding reflected a refined blend of contemporary elegance and Mediterranean warmth.

Welcome Dinner at Villa Cora

The wedding celebrations began with an intimate welcome dinner at Villa Cora, one of Florence’s most iconic luxury villas.

The atmosphere was designed to feel sensual, relaxed and fashion-forward.

Soft draping installations framed the dinner setting while sculptural anthuriums added a contemporary floral touch that contrasted beautifully with the historic interiors of the villa.

The combination of flowing fabrics, candlelight and graphic floral elements created an immersive environment inspired by modern editorial imagery and sophisticated European entertaining.

The evening felt glamorous yet warm  the perfect introduction to the wedding weekend.

A Bespoke Wedding at Villa di Maiano

For the wedding day at Villa di Maiano, Arianna designed a highly intentional layout that responded to both the architecture of the villa and the flow of the guest experience.

Every installation was carefully positioned to create rhythm, visual impact and emotional atmosphere throughout the celebration.

The wedding palette combined elegant shades of green and ivory with subtle accents of butter yellow, powder blue and soft lilac  creating a color story that felt refined, fresh and quietly unexpected.

The overall aesthetic embraced softness and movement while maintaining a strong editorial identity.

Custom Ivory Terracotta Vases for the Reception Tables

One of the most distinctive details of the wedding was the reception floral styling.

Together with Maram, custom terracotta vases in a soft ivory finish were specially designed and produced for the table centerpieces.

The vessels introduced an artisanal and sculptural quality to the tablescape, perfectly balancing the villa’s Tuscan character with the contemporary elegance of the wedding design.

Flowers were arranged to feel organic and airy, allowing color, texture and negative space to interact naturally across the tables.

The result was understated luxury  intentional, elevated and deeply personal.

The Grand Staircase Floral Arch

The focal point of the wedding ceremony was the spectacular floral arch installed along the iconic staircase of Villa di Maiano.

Rather than competing with the architecture, the floral installation was designed to enhance the natural grandeur of the space.

Layered florals and soft movement framed the staircase in an elegant and contemporary way, transforming the setting into a cinematic backdrop for the ceremony.

The composition balanced structure with lightness, creating an atmosphere that felt both timeless and editorial.

A Seating Plan Designed as a Textile Installation

For the dinner entrance, Arianna designed a custom seating plan conceived as a fabric installation suspended like a curtain.

More than a functional detail, the seating chart became part of the visual storytelling of the wedding itself.

The soft textile effect introduced movement and theatricality to the entrance of the reception dinner, creating a transition moment that felt immersive and unexpected.

At Biancospino Flowers, wedding design extends far beyond flowers alone  every aesthetic element contributes to shaping the emotional experience of the celebration.

Italian Elegance Through an Editorial Lens

Mohamed & Maram’s wedding was the perfect expression of modern Italian luxury interpreted through a contemporary and fashion-inspired perspective.

From the floral compositions to the bespoke décor details, every element was designed with precision, artistry and emotional intention.

The celebration felt intimate yet visually iconic  a wedding where design was not simply decoration, but a language capable of telling the couple’s story.
